Curacao is truly paradise.
The thunderstorms and rainfalls are epic and gorgeous (and just a tad scary).
The sun on my skin feels like I'm being hugged all the time.
I can almost not picture myself being cold again, ever again.
The green trees and colourful houses make me miss my favorite season Fall a little less.
Walking out into the warm evening after a yoga class is just...
like walking into a lover's arms.
I never knew you could smell rain even when you are swimming in the ocean while it rains.
When you look up to the water surface from under water, while it rains...
Oh dear... the beauty...
Taking a salt bath in the ocean feels like a day at the spa...
I just hope the salty winds won't have the same effect on me
as on this car by the side of the road...
This is my spot to collect all the amazing and beautiful things in my life. A place to post my little roses. My colourfull, sweet, soft, mysterious, ... experiences. My roses with thorns that make me more carefull to hold and smell them. My roses who make me appriciate life more. Dit is mijn doosje voor mijn roosje.

This is your LIFE
In the Dutch store BRUNA in Curacao,
I found a box with discount magazines.
Hurray! Love that...
In Flair number 37 (a Dutch magazine), I found a really inspiring texst.
This, is how I want to live my life!

In Flair number 37 (a Dutch magazine), I found a really inspiring texst.
This, is how I want to live my life!
This is your LIFE.
Do what you love,
and do it often.
If you don't like something, change it.
If you don't like your job, quit.
If you don't have enough time, stop watching TV.
If you are looking for the love of your life, stop;
they will be waiting for you when you
start doing the things you love.
Stop over analyzing.
Life is simple.
All emotions are beautiful.
When you eat, appreciate
every last bite.
Open your mind, arms and heart to new things
and people, we are united in our differences.
Ask the next person you see what their passion is,
and share your inspiring dream with them.
Travel often;
getting lost will help you find yourself.
Some opportunities only come once, seize them.
Life is about the people you meet, and
the things you create with them.
So go out and start creating.
Life is short.
Live your dream and share your passion.
It lives in my journal now, and in my heart...
What is your passion? |

My favorite way to meditate
here in Curacao,
is to
swim laps in the pool
after dark
with the stars to keep me company
the calming blue lights in the water
the lit up palmtrees watching over me
counting every lap and
only thinking about the next number to count
feeling the silky smooth water on my skin
hearing the ocean behind or in front of me
talking to me in the softest voice
feeling refreshed and as new

Lovers beach
Saturday, we visited
one of the many beautiful beaches of the island:
one of the many beautiful beaches of the island:
''Lovers beach''
It was gorgeous and lovely.
We loved it a ,little bit too much...
It left broad red kisses on our white white bodies....
Bring on the aloe vera lotion!

Birdy
I LOVE the birdies here.
Yesterday, I saw a hummingbird (my favorite)
while eating lunch on our balcony.
Our doors are always open to have some airflow
and there is always one chirping on the background.
On my walks in to town or to the grocery store
they are always hopping from branch to branch.
If I was an animal...
what animal would I be?
I'd be a birdy
according to me :).

Yes! Yoga!
Gentle Yoga,
Hatha,
Vinyasa,
Ashtanga
and soon maybe even Tai Chi...
And what is that ''Buddha Bodi'' course?
I'm getting a taste of it all
in the cute little yoga studio
where I signed up for a month.
This afternoon I think I will go for...
Vinyasa!
My Ganesh keeps me company when I practise on my yoga mat at home... |

Swim, swim...
I have been in Willemstad, Curacao
for 19 full days now.
So far I haven't missed one day of swimming
or taking a refreshing dip in...
the pool and/or ocean.
I was never really a fan of swimming...
but none of my ''dislikes'' of the ''sport'' count here.
* it is NEVER too cold
* not many people around, so I don't have to be bold (as in brave :) )
* I ALWAYS have time
* and I like those bikinis of mine
* the water is clean
* I'm sorry Belgian ocean... I don't want to be mean
* I don't have to go far... AT ALL
* it only takes a tiny stroll
Not the pool, nor the ocean. But the river that runs through Willemstad. I thought the colours were pretty... |

Happy colours, happy feelings
When I am feeling down,
wonder what I am doing here,
missing friends and family
and worry about the future...
All I have to do is go for a walk.
The happy colours everywhere
will make me smile
and forget for a while.
Colourful people,
colourful houses,
colourful shops and stalls,
colourful ''hello's'',
colourful flowers,
...
Happy colours everywhere.
Happy feelings in me.
Colourful, artsy house. |
